Rising to the challenge: Fueling the global energy transition


Hydrogen demand only continues to grow, driving the need for consistent safety standards. A recent report from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) of the US Department of Energy predicted that demand from hydrogen could increase as much as four-fold by 2050, potentially reaching 41 million metric tons per year. But we can only achieve that number quickly, with the smart development and harmonization of safety standards. 

Driving the evolution of hydrogen standards 

While existing industry standards provide an extensive knowledge base for industrial hydrogen operations, fueling stations and other emerging applications present new challenges that require innovative solutions.
