Like many other companies in North America, carbon dioxide (CO2) specialist Salof has adapted its business operations due to the coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19). Based in Texas, one of the worst hit states at the time of publication, Salof has played its part by supplying liquid and dry ice suppliers that are supporting the vaccine program.

Up until Pfizer-BioNTech announced that its vaccine no longer required ultra-cold temperatures for storage, there was a strong demand for dry ice, meaning increased demand for all of those involved in the value chain. For Salof, a supplier, the company had to wait and see if the liquid and dry ice suppliers could meet such demands for production before stepping in and offering its services.

While this focus for the dry ice business may slow down, Salof has made it clear that it will continue innovating and offering a strong rollout of products and services, which also include LNG and refrigeration offerings.
