Flow Instruments GmbH, a European subsidiary of Chart Industries, has been awarded a contract to supply four liquefied natural gas (LNG) dispensers to Europe’s leading supplier of liquefied gas fuel, Gasrec.
Although financial details of the deal were not disclosed, the Dynaflow 3000 dispensers will serve Gasrec’s LNG/LCNG vehicle fuelling station at Daventry International Distribution Centre in the UK.
The system was tested and calibrated during the production process at Flow’s factory in Solingen, Germany. It features a patented mass flow meter which contains a thermally insulated pre-cooled meter with a built-in phase separator.
The Dynaflow 3000 offers operator comfort with a greater freedom of movement during fuelling.
A press release stated, “The order is part of the capacity expansion of the station to satisfy the growing need of LNG as an environmentally friendly fuel for trucks.”
Flow Instruments & Engineering GmbH, a member of the Chart group, has just obtained Measurements Instrument Directive (MID) type approval for its Flowcom 3000 dynamic mass flow meter, designed for the accurate metering of LNG.
With worldwide demand for fuel showing no signs of abating and environmental regulations increasingly prevalent, specialist companies are collaborating to develop solutions for alternative fuels, including LNG. One such example involves Chart Industries subsidiary.
