Forbes Magazine has recognised Air Products as one of America’s Best Employers for Diversity for 2022.

The industrial gas giant this year (2022) ranked 17th on the annually published list, a significant jump from its position of 128th in 2021.

Comprised with support of market research company Statista, the list is the result of a survey of 60,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees.

Survey participants were asked to rate their organisation on factors such as age, gender, ethnicity, disability and sexual orientation equality, as well as general diversity.

Victoria Brifo, Senior Vice-President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Air Products, said, “We know that the diversity of our people is one of our greatest assets.”

“We are proud to again be recognised by Forbes and know there is always more work to be done as we continue to build a company culture where every employee knows that they belong and matter.”

Air Products’ recognition comes as it continues to focus on building a more inclusive workplace. Committing to this, the company last year (2021) set a new goal to further increase the percentage of US minorities into professional and managerial roles to 30% by 2025.

The above number is an increase from the current level of 22%.
