News from Switzerland, where Foster Wheeler AG has announced that its UK-headquartered subsidiary Foster Wheeler Energy Limited has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
Recognised in the International Trade category, the subsidiary forms part of the company’s Global Engineering and Construction Group. The honour represents the eighth time that a Foster Wheeler UK company has won a Queen’s Award.
In order to win the Queen’s Award a company must be able to ‘demonstrate substantial growth in overseas earnings and commercial success, to levels that are outstanding for the goods or services concerned and for the size of the applicant’s operations’.
Foster Wheeler was judged for its outstanding achievement in international trade, sustained over not less than three years.
