Foster Wheeler AG announces that Chris E Covert has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of the company’s Houston-based subsidiary, Foster Wheeler USA.
Covert will replace the previous incumbent, Robert Flexon, with immediate effect. Flexon enjoyed only a brief stay in the role, having accepted the position on 1st June 2010.
Umberto della Sala, President and Chief Operating Officer of parent company Foster Wheeler AG, commented, “Chris is a seasoned engineering and construction executive with more than 30 years of experience in major upstream and downstream process facilities. With a background that encompasses construction, engineering, business development and management, he has all of the leadership qualities required to head Foster Wheeler USA.”
Covert began his career in 1974 and benefits from 35 years experience at Fluor Corporation, where he has held positions including Senior Vice President and Project Director. In addition, he has experience working with projects located in Venezuela, Japan, the Netherlands, Canada and the United States.
