The Gases and Welding Distributors Association (GAWDA) Spring Management Conference (SMC) has been moved back from 29th-31th March to 24th-27th May, 2021.

GAWDA cancelled its two major events in 2020, the SMC and Annual Convention, due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, but hopes to stage a delayed SMC in 2021.

After getting feedback from members, GAWDA decided to push the event back at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

“As more of the population gets vaccinated, and we continue to practice safety protocols, we hope to see the country get safer and travel restrictions loosen,” GAWDA said in a letter to members.

“We have made the strategic decision that a small meeting is better than no meeting at all, and this 60-day extension simply increases the likelihood that a ‘small meeting’ gets larger and more conducive to attendance.”

GAWDA serves over 550 gases and welding supply distributors, manufacturers, independent manufacturer’s representatives and individual members in North America.
