A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairmen of the Management Committee of Gazprom, and Aldo Belloni, CEO of Linde, took place today at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2017.

At the meeting, the parties emphasised the strategic nature of cooperation between the companies and reviewed the current status of Gazprom’s Amur GPP project, involving Linde.

The Amur GPP with a design capacity of 42 billion cubic meters of gas per year will be constructed near Svobodny in the Amur Region. The GPP will include the world’s largest helium (He) production facility.

Linde will supply the Amur GPP with the core process equipment for cryogenic recovery of He and valuable petrochemical substances from gas.

The preparations at the site for the process facilities of the GPP’s first start-up complex are 95% finished. Priority equipment for the said facilities will be supplied to the GPP in the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Miller and Belloni stressed the importance of having launched a facility based in St. Petersburg for manufacturing the key components such as spiral heat exchangers, of the equipment for cryogenic recovery of substances from gas. The first products of the joint venture established by Linde and Power Machines are intended for the Amur GPP.
