Goyal MG Gases Pvt. Ltd. (GMG), one of India’s leading manufacturers of industrial gases, has revealed to gasworld that it is seeking to strengthen its position in the country and is keen to establish long term tie-ups with other leading companies.

As a leading manufacturer of industrial gases through its onsite tonnage plants on Build, Own, Operate (BOO) basis in India, GMG has a long development history and has successfully set-up several onsite tonnage plants on located in North, East, Central & Western parts of India.

The company has now stressed to gasworld that it is eager to strengthen its position and widen its portfolio, looking for long term tie-ups with other leading companies in the field of specialty gases and helium.

GMG notes that this is particularly relevant in view of the exploding growth in the semiconductor field, and solar PV cells & electronics industries in India. With such tie-ups in place, GMG feels that it ‘would be in a position to grab most of the business in these sectors due to its strong market position’.

Furthermore, boasting a positive balance sheet since its inception and described as ‘a cash rich company’, GMG has revealed that it is looking forward to a strong year ahead in spite of the global economic slowdown.

The company cites its ‘strong & motivated workforce who are considered as the most valued assets by the company’ as the reason for its strong performances.

A consolidated position
The most recent onsite tonnage plant commissioned by GMG was at the premises of Corporate Ispat Alloys Limited (CIAL), which belongs to the Jaiswal NECO group of companies.

This is just the latest development in ongoing efforts to consolidate its position, which it considers to be ‘the only Indian company giving stiff competition to other multinationals’. Gas majors such as The Linde Group, Air Liquide, Air Products and Praxair are all thought to be the major players in India and the wider Asian region, while GMG continues to maintain its status as the 5th largest manufacturer of industrial gases in India.

Servicing an array of industrial sectors such as food & beverage, glass, healthcare, electronics, chemicals, pulp & papers, and metal fabrication, GMG also boasts ‘one of the largest fleet of cryogenic tankers in India’.
