Grand Gulf Energy has today (17th June) said it has successfully re-entered its Jesse#1A maiden pure-play helium well in the Red Helium Project, located in the Paradox Basin, Utah.

Sharing its update, the Australian helium exploration and production firm said the well is currently being stimulated through acidisation to maximise flow rates.

A workover rig will then run production tubing and perform several days of flow testing.

The announcement follows “encouraging drilling results” to the Jesse#1A well earlier this month.

As per industry standard practice, flow rates and laboratory analysis of sampled helium concentration will be the ultimate determinant of a successful commercial discovery.
