6,500 exhibitors are set to showcase their innovations at this year’s Hannover Messe. The leading trade fair for industrial gas technologies starts today and will run until Friday (5th April 2019).

This year’s show will devote considerable attention to the new opportunities and possibilities opened up by the use of artificial intelligence in industrial production.

Some of this year’s companies exhibiting at the event include:

German manufacturer of vacuum pumps, Pfeiffer Vacuum, the comapny is set to present its new vacuum solutions at the event. Preiffer Vacuum’s new Roots pump of the HiLobe series will be showcased at booth D 16 in hall 26. The event will be the first time Preiffer Vacuum present its vacuum pumps which can be used for a variety of industrial vacuum applications.

The Roots pumps offer a wide nominal pumping speed range of 520 – 2.100 m3/h, made possible through the new drive concept in conjunction with frequency converters. Due to its individual speed control, the pumps can be tailed to customer-specific requirements.

Mehrer Compression are also set to present its latest product innovation – the new high-pressure compressor TRx 400. The air-cooled piston compressor from Southern Germany offers a solution for applications that require high final pressure of up to 200 bar combined with high suction pressures of up to 200 bar combined with high suction pressures of up to 35 bar.

The TRx 400 is suited for the compression of hydrogen (H2), nitrogen (N2) or oxygen (O2) for the filling of gas cylinders as well as for the storage of synthesis gases.

ELGi Equipments, will also exhibit its key innovations in compressed air solutions at Hannover Messe. The ELGi booth will showcase the company’s new AB ‘Always Better’ air compressor series, a breakthrough in oil free compressed air technology. Also on display will be ELGi’s core products such as the EN and EG Series – energy-efficient and high reliable, lubricated screw air compressors, oil free screw air compressors, direct drive piston compressors, and heat recovery systems.

“Europe is an important market for ELGi with a well-established manufacturing sector. With increasing investments in the region, we are excited about the air compressor market opportunity and we will be investing in expanding our presence,” said Dr. Jamiram Varadaraj, CEO of ELGi Equipments.

Siemens will present numerous additions to its Digital Enterprise portfolio for the next level of digital transformation in the discrete and process industries. Siemens will use a model for the automotive industry to show how the portfolio of industrial software and automation technology connects the virtual and real worlds.

“Through the integration of cutting-edge technology into our portfolio, we can help industrial companies to benefit from rapidly growing data volumes in new, wide-ranging ways. With the use of technologies such as artificial intelligence, edge computing and additive manufacturing, we are paving the way for the future of industry,” said Klaus Helmrich, Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG and CEO of Digital Industries.

NPROXX will also be exhibiting at the event. Its Type 4 pressure vessel for use in automotive applications will be introduced at Hannover Messe, the lightweight product reaches gravimetric storage density of 6.4%.

NPROXX’s 700 bar pressure vessel boast a batter storage-to-weight ratio, enabling automotive designers to plan and build the next generation of hydrogen vehicles with more fuel and less tank weight on board.

McPhy is set to launch its new range of hydrogen stations, intended to decarbonise heavy transports and long-distance vehicles at the event.

“Augmented McFilling by McPhy is a unique design. More than a hydrogen station, it is an intelligent system combing a proprietary, patented architecture with software that makes it dynamically reconfigurable,” said Pascal Mauberger, McPhy’s Chairman and CEO.

“Following the launch of the ‘Augmented McLyzer’ range in 2018, our new generation of ‘Augmented McFilling’ stations allow us to offer a complete range of smart, modular, without capacity limits low-carbon hydrogen production and distribution solutions, already ‘fit for purpose’ and ready for the future,” Mauberger continued.

SFC Energy will also exhibit its new, extended SFC portfolio of direct methanol fuel cells (DMFC) and hydrogen fuel cells. SFC experts will report on international practical experience with SFC fuel cells in portable, mobile and stationary industry and government applications.

SFC Energy’s DMFC and hydrogen fuel cells are exclusively made in Germany. The company will be at booth D45 in hall 27 at the event.

Hybrit will also be on site at Hannover Messe. The project made up of SSAB, LKAB and Vattenfall, joined in a determination to contribute a more sustainable society. HYBRIT aims to replace cooking coal, traditionally need for iron ore-based steelmaking, with fossil-free electricity and hydrogen. The result of the project will be the world’s first fossil-free steelmaking technology.

PowerCell will be represented by its CEO Per Wassén at the event. PowerCell will be displaying its products and technology in booth C48 in hall 27.

“This is a great opportunity for us to present our leading technology for the world. But it’s also a great chance for us to highlight our growing and increasingly important presence in the German industry and in the German market,” said Per Wassén, CEO of PowerCell.

This year’s Hannover Messe is set to discuss all technologies and core areas of the industry, from research and development, industrial automation, IT, industrial supply, production technologies and services to energy and mobility technologies.
