Following their successful launch this summer when hundreds of industrial gas professionals tuned in for discussion and debate, gasworld webinars return this week with a three-part series devoted to helium markets and sponsored by Evonik.
Titled Helium: Understanding the Market in 2020, the webinars will aim to explore the helium market today, and the impact of Covid-19 on supply chains and applications. The series will also look ahead to what the future may hold from 2021 onwards.
gasworld webinars were launched in June 2020, marking the arrival of the gasworld TV platform (www.gasworld.tv). They also filled a vacuum in industrial gas discussion and debate against a backdrop of change at the hands of the Covid-19 (coronavirus) pandemic and curtailed events activity, continuing gasworld’s commitment to connecting the global gases industry.
The webinars offering began with a three-part series titled Bandwidth in Your Business, designed to tackle industrial gas insights and operations during a pandemic and explore the lessons learned from lockdown. The platform was also the home to several H2 View webinars thereafter, drilling down into the nuances of the hydrogen sector and its role in the flourishing clean energies movement.
Now, gasworld webinars return with a three-part series devoted to discussion around global helium markets – one of the hottest topics in the industrial gases business today.
Sponsored by Evonik, a world leader in specialty chemicals and at the forefront of membrane technology with its SEPURAN® separation technologies, the series begins this Friday (16th October) at 2:30pm BST.
Evonik is an innovation leader in membrane-based separation technologies, and offers a wide range of membranes for efficient separation of gases and also for solvent-based liquid separations – not least, helium.
This was the subject of a recent exclusive interview for gasworld with Alex Evans, Business Development Manager of Membranes at Evonik – and Evans will join host Rob Cockerill (gasworld Global Managing Editor) to shed more light into its membrane technologies for helium exploration and purification in Part 1 of the series this Friday.
Cockerill and Evans will also be joined by James R. Weaver, CEO of Aeon Petroleum Consultants, and Linde Engineering’s Patrick Schiffmann as the panel discuss the differences between proven and prospective reserves and the technologies enabling effective helium exploration today.
Part 2 of the series will explore Helium & Covid-19: Impact on Applications and the Supply Chain (Friday 23rd October, 2:30pm BST) and Part 3 will tackle Helium Exploration Tomorrow: Market Outlook (Friday 30th October, 2:30pm BST).
All webinars are free-to-view. For more information on the series and how to register, as well as all previous webinars on-demand, visit www.gasworld.tv
