The team at Huntingdon Fusion Techniques (HFT®), weld purging equipment manufacturer, has developed and progressed two of its inventions, offering improved weld purging capabilities.
Having been originally designed in the 1970s, the UK-based business has replaced its previous MKV monitor with a heavily updated version of its PurgEye® 100 Weld Purge Monitor®.
The revamped device has been designed featuring improved elements such as leak-tight push buttons, auto-calibration features and vacuum-sealed leak-tight probe assembly.
As such, the company now possesses a range of PurgEye Weld Purge Monitors to measure oxygen (O2) levels from atmospheric content down to one part-per-million (ppm).
Additionally, HFT has designed a unique, sealed package for its PurgEye 100 Weld Purge Monitor sensors, to raise their lifespans. Replacement sensors can now be kept in a preserved, inert environment until they are used, raising their longevity.
Luke Keane, Distributor Support for HFT, added, “The PurgeEye 100 is designed with a special sensor, which monitors the exact level of O2 during welding. The monitor has a low sensor warning, so unlike other O2 analysers, the user know that their monitor is reading correctly and exactly when the sensor needs changing.”
Month on month the gasworld website continues to be the primary portal for information, on a global scale, about our industry - be it through the provision of news and features, or information in the expansive company directory section. Launched in 2004, it is the only independent online news provider and information portal for the global industrial gas community and the larger end-user markets. The website also now incorporates news for gasworld US and Specialty Gas Report.
