On the 16th November 2018, a symbolic ceremony was held to celebrate the €8m ($9.1m) investment made by The HOYER Group, to develop a container terminal at the Clempark site in Dormagen, Germany.
Hoyer subsidiary, Supply Chain Solutions (SCS), developed the plans for the building in accordance with the requirements of Bayer AG, the multinational pharmaceutical and life sciences company for whom HOYER already works at the location.
The future site provides space for 624 swap bodies or 20’ tank containers and will have six bays with connections for container heating. A ground-controlled portal crane will allow easy shunting.
