After it was awarded with the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise earlier this year, representatives from Hummingbird Sensing Technology attended the official reception and celebration held at Buckingham Palace yesterday.
The UK-based company, which is a division of leading gas analysis company, Servomex, received the award to recognise its innovation in the design and manufacturing of its Paramagnetic oxygen (O2) sensors.
Continuous hard work has enabled us to be where we are today, through decades of research and design behind the Paramagnetic sensor
Hurley enthused, “As worldwide leaders in innovation for gas sensing technologies, we are incredibly proud of our Hummingbird sensor brand winning the innovation award.”
“Continuous hard work has enabled us to be where we are today, through decades of research and design behind the Paramagnetic sensor. I speak on behalf of everybody at Servomex and Hummingbird that this award is a special achievement for us all.”
Hummingbird will officially receive its award from Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for East Sussex, Peter Field, in October 2016.
Having received the award, the company will now be allowed to use The Queen’s Emblem in its advertising, marketing and on its packing for the next five years, as a symbol of its success.
