Hummingbird Sensing Technology, a manufacturer of gas sensing technology for the industrial and medical markets, has announced it is now fully compliant within the RoHS II Directive.
The RoHS compliance is being introduced across the entire range of Hummingbird products to meet regional legislative requirements, ensuring an environmentally-friendly practice and giving comfort to operators by knowing they are purchasing gas analysers that are in line with the latest legislation.
Martin Cox, Market Sector Manager at the UK-based company, signified the importance of this announcement, “Compliance means our complete range of gas sensor products complies with the most up-to-date revision of the EU RoHS legislation.”
The Directive governs restrictions on the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, with a deadline for adherence being placed on industrial monitoring and control equipment for the 22nd July 2017.
Hummingbird Sensing Technology have developed gas sensing technologies over the past 25 years, producing a range of world-leading sensors that measure oxygen (O2), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4).
Hummingbird has achieved an analytical industry first with the launch of the Hummingbird Paracube Modus: the world’s first highly vibration resistant Paramagnetic oxygen sensor, designed specifically for integration into transportable analytical equipment.
Month on month the gasworld website continues to be the primary portal for information, on a global scale, about our industry - be it through the provision of news and features, or information in the expansive company directory section. Launched in 2004, it is the only independent online news provider and information portal for the global industrial gas community and the larger end-user markets. The website also now incorporates news for gasworld US and Specialty Gas Report.
