Three hydrogen vehicles from Honda, Hyundai and Toyota have made a stop at the Delaware Research and Technology center of Air Liquide for hydrogen refueling.
The hydrogen vehicles are part of the Hydrogen Road Tour convoy which is currently traveling from Maine to California in order to help build awareness through the public and officials for the safe, efficient and environmentally friendly fuel.
The convoy which is organized by the U.S. Department of Transportation, U.S. Department of Energy, the California Fuel Cell Partnership and the National Hydrogen Association hope to spread support for the creation of a countrywide hydrogen refueling infrastructure.
To help the development of hydrogen-powered vehicles, Air Liquide is developed hydrogen fueling stations providing pressurized hydrogen of up to 700 bars (approximately 10,000 PSI).
Hydrogen refueling is as simple as normal petrol refueling and can be accomplished in less than 5 minutes.
