Onsite gas generation specialist HyGear has signed a contract to supply hydrogen (H2) to a leading margarine producer in Colombia.
The Netherlands-based business will deliver one of its containerised Hy.GEN systems to CI SIGRA S.A, which will use the machine for the hydrogenation of edible oils and fats.
The Hy.GEN steam reforming technology is expected to significantly reduce hydrogenation costs for SIGRA as it will replace its current electrolyser systems.
HyGear will deploy its H2 unit in the third quarter of 2017. This is the first project that the company will install through its new partner P-Hydrogen from North America.
Niels Lanser, HyGear’s Director of Sales and Marketing, highlighted, “For HyGear, this is an important first step into the food industry. A knowledgeable partner like P-Hydrogen will help us drive our global expansion as they can support our products locally which further improves our service level.”
Onsite gas generation specialist HyGear has secured a contract to supply a hydrogen (H2) generation system for Latvia’s budding H2 mobility sector alongside energy and electromobility industry company Hydrogenis.
