HyGear, a supplier of industrial gases through generation and recovery technology has signed a long-term hydrogen supply contract with a Belgium-based glass producer.

The contract will see HyGear supply high purity hydrogen through its Hy.GEN technology, combined with trailer supply from HyGear’s hydrogen plant in The Netherlands for peak demands.

“The new contract in Belgium is part of HyGear’s ongoing expansion of its Gas-as-a-Service (GaaS) offering in Europe,” said Niels Lanser, HyGear’s Chief Commercial Officer.

“By adding new GaaS customers to the existing customer base, a network of hydrogen using industries is established, allowing the company to leverage its investment in production and transportation assets over a broader customer base.”

The installation is expected to be commission in late 2019.
