Hypertherm, a US-based manufacturer of plasma, laser, and waterjet cutting systems, was selected as a World’s Most Ethical Company® by the Ethisphere Institute for a second straight year.
This designation recognizes organizations for having a material impact on the way business is conducted by fostering a culture of ethics and transparency at every level of the company. Hypertherm is one of 131 companies from around the world selected to this year’s list, and one of only two companies in the Machine Tools & Accessories sector.
Transparency, honesty, integrity
“This honor underscores Hypertherm’s commitment to leading ethical business standards and practices,” said Evan Smith, Hypertherm’s CEO and President. “Transparency, honesty, and integrity—long a part of Hypertherm’s core values and included in our Code of Ethics—not only define us, but ensure long-term value to our Associates, customers, and community.”
Other companies earning the “Most Ethical” designation include Deere and Company, GE, Cisco, and The Nature Conservancy.
Previewed at FABTECH 2015, Hypertherm is now taking orders for its Freedom 38 PPA cutting unit with a built-in generator and air compressor.
After a successful first run in 2015, Hypertherm opens 2016’s “Spark Something Great” educational initiative for applications. Schools and other industrial programs can apply until April 1.
Month on month the gasworld website continues to be the primary portal for information, on a global scale, about our industry - be it through the provision of news and features, or information in the expansive company directory section. Launched in 2004, it is the only independent online news provider and information portal for the global industrial gas community and the larger end-user markets. The website also now incorporates news for gasworld US and Specialty Gas Report.
