Hyundai Motor Group and Kia Motors are investing €80m ($90m) in Croatian car manufacturer Rimac Autmobil to develop hydrogen fuel cell cars.

Under a strategic partnership, Hyundai and Kia will each invest €64m and €16m respectively, and along with Rimac, the companies will work closely together to develop a prototype for a high-performance fuel cell electric vehicle.

The partnership would then look to bring them to market at a later time.
