Joe Greco, President of Greco Gas Inc., has been awarded the Independent Welding Distributors Cooperative’s (IWDC’s) esteemed Bob Jackson Memorial Award in appreciation of his contributions to his industry.

Greco was bestowed with the accolade for his integral involvement and contributions to the IWDC, the industrial gas and welding industry, and the wider Pennsylvanian community after leading his company’s growth for over 37 years.

Under Greco’s leadership, the fourth generation business has expanded to four locations in the US state of Pennsylvania, as well as launching a microbulk gas offering and diversifying into specialty gases, dry ice and propane.

The Bob Jackson honour, which is considered to be one of IWDC’s leading awards, is annually granted to a member that has gone ‘above and beyond’ in their support of the organisation. Criteria for the award typically includes independent support, strong leadership skills and industry engagement.

Greco was presented the award at IWDC’s Owners’ Meeting, which took place from 11th-14th October in Dana Point, California.

Greco Gas, headquartered in Tarentum, Pennsylvania, is one of the oldest, continuously-owned independent gas and welding distributor in North America.
