Under hefty research and development (R&D) investments and capacity expansions, Turkish pressure vessel and industrial plant manufacturer Karbonsan doubled its turnover last year.
The firm was acquired by Aytemiz Group of Companies around a decade ago and has since made new investments in automation lines, enriched human resources and developed a range of new products.
In what was described by Vice-Chairman of Karbonsan Pressure Vessels and Trading Co. Turgay Karacalar as a “natural consequence” of these actions, Karbonsan increased its turnover by more than 50% in 2016.
Whilst specific financials details were not disclosed, Karacalar revealed that over 70% of the company’s revenues is now brought in from export sales. Karbonsan exports its products to over 60 countries including Chile, Peru, Bangladesh, Russia, the Seychelles and Papua New Guinea.
Headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey, Karbonsan is one of the leasing diversified industrial manufacturers in the country. It expanded its manufacturing and warehouse facilities in Orhangazi, Bursa, in 2015 so that it now operates from a 70,000m2 site.
The company constructs stationary and transportable tanks, semi-trailers, truck-mounted tanks and evaporators for the storage and distribution of liquefied gases. It also produces a wide range of pressure vessels and equipment for power stations, refineries, petrochemical complexes and various industries.
Karacalar added, “All the more amazing, it seems that the company will easily catch up with the 2016 turnover within the third quarter of 2017.”
