Hot on the heels of its resoundingly successful sixth international conference, held in Nairobi, Kenya earlier this month, gasworld is delighted to announce plans for its next conference gathering, to be staged in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Entitled The Key Success Factors for Sustaining Growth, the Latin America Industrial Gases Conference 2011 will take place at the welcoming Windsor Barra Hotel in Rio de Janeiro, building on a wave of momentum and upturn in the region’s investment climate.

Taking place on 14th & 15th April 2011, the conference will again provide a forum for eminent speakers from all sectors of the industrial gases community and beyond to present papers and discuss/debate/converse.

In doing so, it will present significant opportunities to meet with leading figures from throughout the gases industry, the equipment suppliers and various end-users, all of which are expected to attend.

The location and its tropical savanna climate will provide a truly Latin American flavour, while the conference will address the key success factors that the gases community requires to sustain growth over the next five to ten years.

Main themes will include The Rapid Growth of the Mining and Metals Processing Sector, On-shore and Off-shore Developments in the Oil & Gas Sector, Supply Chain Efficiency and Technology Trends, Gas Applications – Drivers for Growth, and Safety – International Harmonisation of Standards.

April 2011 will of course be gasworld’s second gathering on the shore of South America. In January 2009, around 130 delegates attended the first ever South American industrial gases conference in Santiago, Chile as gasworld explored The Challenges Facing the gas Industry in a Region of Opportunity.

With 2010 seeing an upturn in both the regional and global economic/investment climates and interest in Latin America increasing as 2011 nears, gasworld is returning to the region two years on for its seventh global conference.

Brazil is one of the fastest growing markets and by far the largest on this continent, and the conference will address the critical success factors needed by our industry to meet this expected high growth throughout the next five years.

Major and independent international gas companies, in addition to independent gas distributors, international and local equipment manufacturers, and large volume end-users are expected to attend.

The Latin America Industrial Gases Conference 2011 will build on the successes of gasworld’s recent conference in Kenya, where the gases community gathered to discuss the growth opportunities across the African continent – a major emerging economy and region of development.

An esteemed panel of prominent speakers addressed the challenges ahead throughout the continent and affirmed the bountiful potential that exists, while the event was widely heralded as a success for sponsors and attendees alike.
