Linde Engineering North America has been awarded a Licensed, Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (LEPCC) project in Malaysia based on its innovative hydrogen generators using steam methane reforming technology.

Linde will provide a hydrogen manufacturing unit with capacity of 13,900 Nm3 for Hengyuan Refining Company Berhad (HRC) in Port Dickson, Malaysia.

This will be the first project in Southeast Asia to use Linde’s HYDROPRIME® Max technology.

The company said, “Linde won the project in an international competitive bid with the contract together with HRC in late January (2019). HYDROPRIME Max is a standardised product technology owned by Hydro-Chem, a subsidiary of Linde Enginering North America.”

“This technology is based on a modular skid design with a box-type reformer that offers schedule and cost benefits for the overall construction of the plant.”

Along with the commercial advantages this technology provides, the project benefits from collaboration between Selas-Linde, the Linde Adsorption group, Hydro-Chem, Linde Engineering Malaysia, and Linde Engineering India.
