Linde Gases, a division of The Linde Group, has announced it has been certified by the German Accreditation System for Testing (DAP) as a producer of gaseous ‘reference materials’, with regard to the company’s HiQ® calibration gas mixtures.
Linde Gases has achieved ISO Guide 34 accreditation, which provides the highest level of quality assurance and allows manufacturers to confidently state that the methods used to certify their standards are accurate, consistent, documented and validated.
Guide 34 defines reference materials as substances with a precise composition traceable to the International System of Units (SI) using accurate measurements.
As the DAP is a member of the European Cooperation for Accreditation (EA), which authorises equivalent accreditation across many countries in Europe through its Multilateral Mutual Recognition Agreements (MLAs), the certification achieved by Linde has far-reaching implications beyond Germany.
