Linde CryoPlants, a UK subsidiary of Linde Engineering and part of The Linde Group, has announced the successful commissioning of a GAN600 cryogenic nitrogen plant at Fatima Fertilizer Company, Sadikabad, Pakistan.
Fatima Fertilizer’s new complex has a production capacity of 5000 MTPD, comprising urea, nitro phosphate (NP), nitrogen phosphorous potassium (NPK) and calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN), intermediate products include ammonia and nitric acid.
The complex also includes a 45 MW captive power plant in addition to off-sites and utilities. Natural gas feedstock is provided by a 47km pipeline from the Mari Gas fields.
Linde CryoPlants has been successful in developing a cryogenic nitrogen plant that is capable of operating in an in an extremely challenging ammonia rich environment.
The plant has a capacity of 600 Nm3/hr and will form an integral part of the offsite utilities, providing much needed high purity nitrogen gas for the fertiliser complex.
Fatima Offsite & Utilities management team, including Mr. Asad Waheed, Abid Ali and Mazhar Hussain, commented, “Linde CryoPlants’ consideration of our stringent requirement and professional demonstration throughout the project phase have remained consistently outstanding. Their efficient plant design, equipment quality and skilful commissioning supervision have provided the benchmark for other capital equipment suppliers.”
Linde CryoPlants has considerable experience in the supply of cryogenic nitrogen plants to the fertiliser industry and is ideally suited to this new facility.
