The Linde group is in discussions with Wesfarmers regarding the possible sale of Linde\\$quot;s Australian industrial gas operations, Linde Gas Pty Ltd.

Linde Gas Australia is being divested by the Linde Group following an undertaking given to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (\\$quot;ACCC\\$quot;) as a result of its global merger with The BOC Group plc.

The Linde Group has entered a preliminary agreement with Wesfarmers under which Wesfarmers offers to purchase Linde Gas Australia for an enterprise value of around €300m.

Withdrawal of the offer by Wesfarmers or non-acceptance of the offer by The Linde Group may trigger an €18m break fee. The proposed transaction will be subject to clearance from the ACCC.
