Linde will double its merchant liquid production capacity in La Porte, Texas, to meet growing demands, the industrial gas giant confirmed today (13th April).

Scheduled for 2024, the expansion will support the petrochemicals, clean energy, manufacturing, food and aerospace sectors in the US Gulf Coast.

The extra capacity will also supply Linde’s existing Gulf Coast pipeline system, which includes nitrogen and oxygen pipelines extending from the Houston ship channel south to Freeport, Texas.

Jeff Barnhard, Vice-President of the South Region at Linde, said, “This investment will further strengthen our robust supply capabilities in the US Gulf Coast, allowing Linde to take advantage of growing demand.”

“This project provides significant productivity benefits by building on the unique infrastructure Linde has already established in the US Gulf Coast.”
