The Chinese division of industrial gas giant, The Linde Group, has opened a new packaged gas products (PGP) filling plant in Ningbo, China.
The newly opened facility, named the Linde Gas Ningbo Co., Ltd. Beilun Branch PGP Filling Plant, has the capacity to fill an additional 1.2 million gas cylinders every year.
With a total investment of around RMB 70m ($10.8m), the factory has been designed to fill cylinders with industrial, medical and specialty gas products at at a pressure of 200 bar.
The Linde Beilun PGP Filling Plant aims to deliver high-quality cylinder products by leveraging its cylinder gas business and lowering the gas consumption threshold for its targeted customers. So, medium and small-size customers, with annual gas consumption under 1,000m3 can directly access these products.
