Linde takes another step

Linde has taken a further step and developed a system to produce sterile liquid nitrogen on the spot. The sale of the system is offered under the registration mark VERISEQ® SLG.

The new system provides sterile liquid nitrogen by liquefying sterile filtered gas.

Pharmaceutical and biotechnical companies can use the system for many purposes such as cryo-grinding and milling operations, freezing, cryo storage and preservation.

The company said: “The system is fully automatic and may be operated batch wise or continuous within the normal operating time for the sterile filter. The filter is a barrier that a sterile result during operation and is prepared for a non-destructive integrity testing of the sterile filter in place. The system is aseptically engineered to allow Steaming In Place (SIP) for sterilisation of the entire system prior to operation.”
