Key member of Linde North America’s Alternative Energy Team wins National Hydrogen Association award (NHA).
Yesterday, Mike McGowan, Head of Strategic Alliances and Government Affairs for Linde North America’s Alternative Energy Team, was awarded the Meritorious Service award by NHA.
The prestigious accolade was awarded in recognition of his commitment to promoting hydrogen and fuel cell interests. Jeff Serfass, President of the NHA, commented, “As the role of hydrogen in energy and environmental technology change deepens, so must the strength of its industry association. Mike received this award because of his strong leadership in transforming our organisation’s reach to include all hydrogen and fuel cell interests.”
Linde North America, one of the world’s largest hydrogen producers, is a subsidiary of The Linde Group. The NHA, also enjoys a figurative global presence as the world’s largest hydrogen technology trade association. Established in 1989, the association’s aim is to encourage the development of hydrogen technologies and their applications.
The honour was presented at the NHA’s 21st annual conference, situated at the Long Beach Convention Centre, California.
The award-winner, McGowan, remarked, “We have had some serious economic and technical challenges in the hydrogen and fuel cell effort over the past several years. The NHA has helped the industry meet those challenges and has been a significant factor in moving hydrogen to the forefront as a viable alternative energy source. I am very proud to have been a part of that effort and very pleased to receive the award.”
