Earlier this week, the Yemen LNG pipeline was victim of a sabotage attempt.
At 7am, on 13th September, a sabotage attempt at Shabwah caused minor damages to the pipeline. Repair is already underway on the affected area, despite this LNG production went uninterrupted.
Yemen LNG has not reported any injuries as a result of the incident. Nevertheless the company stated that security had been reinforced with Yemeni Government forces along the length of the pipeline. Similarly, the firm activated emergency procedures to monitor and control the situation.
