There is less than one month left until gasworld’s Global Helium Summit 2.0, titled ‘Markets Returning to Equilibrium,’ taking place at the Doubletree by Hilton Somerset Hotel & Conference Center in New Jersey, US, from the 12th-13th September 2016.
The final agenda has been confirmed for the summit, which aims to understand change in the supply and demand dynamics of the helium business, both in the US and globally.
Leading industry specialists will address future market expectations and questions over application developments in the global helium business.
Welcome Reception: Monday 12th September
Kick-starting the event at 6pm will be the Welcome Reception which will include a light buffet and drinks for all delegates to indulge in whilst networking.
Summit: Tuesday 13th September
Registration will open from 7:30am, allowing time to visit the exhibition and enjoy breakfast before starting the busy day of presentations.
The summit proceedings will begin with a session focusing on the helium market conditions chaired by Phil Kornbluth, President of Kornbluth Helium Consulting. Robert Jolley, Field Manager for the Bureau of Land Management, will open the session with a presentation on the current and future BLM pipeline and storage system, which will be followed by Maura Garvey and John Campbell of Intelligas discussing the market conditions of helium supply and demand. Head of Global Helium Source Development at Linde Global Helium, Nick Haines, will close the session with a look back on the Helium Stewardship Act of 2013.
After a short coffee break, delegates will return to the meeting room to hear about important helium production and project subjects, chaired by gasworld publisher John Raquet. Kornbluth will begin the session by giving an outlook into the future sources of helium, which will be followed by Thomas Abraham-James, CEO of Helium One, discussing the helium potential in Tanzania. Senior Research Associate at Air Products, Dr. Vince White, will then present on helium extraction from carbon dioxide, with Brian Witt, Director of Business Development at IACX, concluding the session discussing helium production from non-hydrocarbon sources.
At the end of session two, delegates will be treated to a networking lunch sponsored by DataOnline, as well as valuable exhibition time.
The final session, chaired by President of Linde Global Helium, Joe Horn, will concentrate on technology shifts and application drivers. Andrew Wade of Siemens Healthcare will begin the session by presenting on ‘The MRI Story - Past, Present and Future.’ The topic of balloon gas distribution in the US will then be discussed by Jim Hermetet, Vice President Sales & Marketing at American Gas Products. Following on from this will be a presentation from Brian Bauer, Chief Commercial Officer of Hybrid Enterprises about airships for heavy lifting and tourism. Concluding the summit presentations will be DataOnline’s Business Development Manager, Richard Adams, who will be talking about tracking and monitoring technologies for helium assets.
The summit will come to a close at 5pm, when gasworld will host an afterglow reception in the exhibition area until 6pm.
