Indonesia is to host its first ever gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) centric summit and exhibition. The Gas Indonesia Summit and Exhibition (GIS) will take place at the Shangri-La Jakarta, Indonesia from 15 to 17 March 2016.

Set to spark conversations on the energy sector in Indonesia, GIS will serve as a holistic platform for regional and international energy players to exchange insights and industry trends moving ahead. Investment and infrastructure development opportunities across the region will also be hot topics discussed during the three-day summit.

“With the Indonesian government’s recent gas development plans, it not only affects the domestic market, but future investments and developments in the gas pipeline, import and export facilities. This provides a great avenue for industry thought leaders to come to together to share how they can work together to further the gas agenda in Indonesia and beyond. With GIS 2016, we are enabling this exchange of big ideas and facilitating a regional hub,” said Matthew Meredith, Executive Vice-President of dmg :: events, organiser of GIS.

Topics that will be addressed include:

  • Indonesia’s energy outlook
  • Financing and investing in Indonesian gas projects
  • Small-scale LNG as a feasible solution for Indonesia
  • Gas and LNG for power and marine fuel
  • Latest technology for LNG infrastructure and distribution

Exhibiting companies include PT Anglo Euro Energi Indonesia, Gas Natural Fenosa, Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT), Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia and many more. Attendees will include those from the government sectors, international and national oil companies, onshore and offshore transportation companies, EPCs, classification societies as well as power and utility companies.
