The Middle East Gases Association (MEGA) will be hosting a special safety session at the upcoming gasworld MENA Industrial Gas Conference.
The session will form part of the packed conference agenda for the event taking place from 7th – 9th December, 2015 at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai.
MEGA have created a series of talks all themed on safety, looking at raising standards within the region. Chaired and organised by General Secretary, Frank H. Finger of MEGA, the talks will explore safety in the industrial gases sector specifically within the Middle East, and touch upon hot topics and regulations that companies should adhere to when operating in MENA.
The session will see the guest presenters speak about various topics such as gas supply for the food and beverages industries, cylinder filling and safety measures, transportation of dangerous goods, environmental matters, accidents prevention as well as medical gases.
Presenters during this session form part of MEGA’s Safety Committee and will call upon their personal expertise and experiences to inform and educate delegates. Speakers include; Elie Adaimy from Air Liquide, Natarajan Suresh from Gulf Cryo, and Mohammad El Hosni, from Buzwair, Qatar. gasworld is also delighted to welcome back to its stage Paul Vincent, Industrial Director at Air Liquide for the important theme of transportation safety, who also spoke at gasworld’s 2013 conference.
The session will be officially opened by MEGA’s esteemed guest Dr Abdulwahab Al-Sadoun of Gulf Petrochemicals & Chemicals Association.
Frank H. Finger, General Secretary of MEGA said, “This is the fourth time that MEGA has attended the gasworld conference and the second time we have sponsored such an event. This session is important to keep current members abreast of our industry issues as well as convincing new members about the benefit of their membership and welcoming into the fold.”
MEGA will also be hosting the official conference welcome reception on Monday 7th December, providing networking opportunities for companies throughout the region to meet and find out more about the industrial gases association. Held in the exhibition area at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel’s Conference Centre from 6pm, delegates will get a chance to make new contacts and create new business prospects. The evening aims deliver a relaxed atmosphere with high quality hospitality to set the tone for the rest of the conference.
