Matheson Korea complete specialty filling plant

Matheson Gas Products Korea, a member of the Taiyo Nippon Sanso Group, has recently completed work on a specialty gas filling plant, which had been under construction since autumn 2005.

The company invested $30m on the 51,400 square metre premises located in Asan, Korea.

The purpose of the plant is to place emphasis on improving quality by having a facility for the treatment of the inside surfaces of cylinders. The plant has a filling capacity of 20,000 cylinders a month, 4 times more than the previous capacity. The cylinders will be filled with NH3 (ammonia), Cl2 (chlorine), WF6 (Tungsten hexafluoride), and BCl3 (Boron Trichloride).

Matheson Gas Products Korea expects sales to amount to $100m in 2010.
