Day two of the MENA Industrial Gases Conference 2019 is about to get officially underway, with the keynote talk of SOL Group’s Renato Imeri.

More than 200 delegates from the region and around the world have gathered at the Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City hotel complex in Dubai (UAE) for gasworld’s conference.

Held to tackle the Business Models Fit for Purpose in the Middle East and North Africa, the 2.5 day conference is exploring the challenges and opportunities facing the region as it moves forward into the next decade.

The conference agenda began yesterday, with day one highlights including an opening keynote from Seif Ghasemi – Chairman, President and CEO of Air Products – who reflected on the significance of the Middle East region, and a series of pointed panel talks covering business models and regional case studies.

MENA 2019: Day one recap

Today the focus switches to Operational and Business Opportunities, with topics such as Optimising Cylinder Filling in the Middle East, CO2 Market Dynamics and Driving Safety within the Region all on the agenda.

In a first for gasworld events, a keynote from Phil Kornbluth, President of Kornbluth Helium Consulting, will officially close the conference later this afternoon.

gasworld CEO and Publisher is currently on stage welcoming back delegates for another day of progressive discourse and debate, and introducing Imeri as the morning’s opening keynote.

“Our Day 2 keynote speaker is Mr Renato Imeri, Head of the SOL Group’s (Italy) Industrial Gas Division outside of Europe,” he explained. “While SOL is only actively present in a few MENA countries, previous audiences have expressed interest in hearing how Tier 2 gas companies operate and learn about their business models for success, and we duly welcome Renato to come and impart just that kind of knowledge.”
