Messer Americas has said it is continuing to provide medical gases to local hospitals in Brazil to help support coronavirus efforts.
In a recent social post, the industrial gas company said its team has now started to supply its gases to the Che Guevara Campaign Hospital in Maricá, Rio de Janeiro, which is now a new coronavirus treatment centre.
“At Messer, we appreciated the continued heroic efforts of the healthcare community and remain committed to supplying our healthcare customers and communities with life-saving medical oxygen,” the company said in a recent post.
“The health and safety of our employees, their families, our communities and our customers remain our top priorities.”
The new health unit in Brazil will feature 138 beds with areas for child and adult isolation and an intensive care centre.
