Messer Americas is helping healthcare settings improve the security of oxygen supply, following the skyrocketing demands experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic.
This comes as health facilities across the globe are now having to adjust to a ‘new normal’ when it comes to oxygen consumption rates and having to upgrade oxygen supply infrastructure.
During the height of the pandemic, Messer Americas maintained continuity of supply to NYC hospitals by drawing on its national network of air separation units (ASUs), delivery fleets, local service technicians, bulk emergency supply plans, and technical expertise to develop rapid response solutions.
Further to this, the industrial gas company also deployed both engineers and technicians to customer locations, to implement creative technical solutions to ensure that hospitals maintained their oxygen supply, despite the increased demand.
Now, reflecting on what had to be done throughout the pandemic, oxygen security is set to be a key focus for Messer at the upcoming 2022 American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE) Annual Conference and Technical Exhibition in Boston on 20th July.
Focusing on the lessons learned from the pandemic, the conference will see Messer help equip healthcare engineers with the fundamentals for a code-compliant medical oxygen supply system, tools to evaluate their existing systems, and strategies for obtaining capital budget approval.
Delegates will be able to speak to Messer employees at Booth 1314 on 17th-20th July.
