Messer disposes of nitrous oxide to protect the atmosphere

The Messer Group has reduced atmospheric emissions by the equivalent of around 2,000 tonnes per year (tpy) alone, through the systematic disposal of residual quantities of nitrous oxide from the medical sector.

Also known as laughing gas, the latest in up-to-date evidence suggests nitrous oxide is the most significant source of ozone-damaging emissions in the 21st century.

In light of this, and as a European wide producer and distributor of nitrous oxide primarily for the medical sector, Messer is keen to do its bit and take every measure possible to reduce such harm to the environment.

The group takes a responsible approach towards the environment and natural resources, with gas and gas mixtures almost always supplied to the customer in returnable gas cylinders.
