The Messer Group has been awarded as the ‘Top Sustainable Family Business’ by British magazine CampdenFB, in cooperation with the French bank Societe Generale.
The award is given to private companies which demonstrate they comply with high social, economic and environmental standards.
Messer was honoured in Berlin by CampdenFB and the French group of banks – Societe Generale – for its exemplary sustainability and corporate responsibility.
“For our future we must be more responsible in the way we deal with people, the environment and resources,” emphasised Stefan Messer, owner of the Messer Group.
Messer documents its measurable objectives and developments in environmental protection, energy consumption, safety and staff development in its annual corporate responsibility report.
The company enjoyed a successful year of recognition in 2015, receiving a total of 14 awards including for safety at work, outstanding economical commitment, as the best supplier, and as the employer of the year.
Industrial gases specialist Messer, which has its headquarters in Bad Soden, has been awarded the ’Top 500 Family-Owned Companies’ by Stiftung Familienunternehmen (Foundation for Family Businesses).
