The speakers are prepped, the room is ready and the gasworld team is raring to go; the fourth gasworld conference, entitled ‘Industrial Gases – Adding Value to End-Users’, will begin in Abu Dhabi, UAE, later today.
Delegates from across the world have travelled to Abu Dhabi to join gasworld in what promises to be a truly inspiring event.
The conference will highlight the opportunities, challenges and issues for both suppliers and consumers of industrial gases, addressing some of the most important issues facing our industry going into 2010, and updating the players in the region with the latest trends in both technology and the market.
After the success of our Dubai conference, back in 2007, gasworld has opted to visit the Middle East once again.
This is a region bursting with potential for the industrial gas industry; its natural resources are geared towards the oil and gas sectors, and despite a tough economic situation globally at present, it continues to attract investment in basic raw materials and value-added downstream products.
Later this evening the delegates will meet together for the first time, and register for the conference whilst enjoying a buffet and cocktail party, sponsored by Inox India.
Then it’s off to bed to recharge before a packed day of speeches from leading industrial gas professionals and dignitaries.
We are very privileged to have secured Frances Moffett-Kouadio, the British Embassy’s Director of Trade and Investment, to open the conference, kick starting two full days of insightful speeches and exciting events.
We also have a fantastic line up of guest speakers that have been chosen with a view to offering delegates the very best industry knowledge on a variety of different subjects.
Speaking over the two days of the conference will be such notable figures as Tony Potter, Managing Director of CMAI Middle East and India, Linda Lefevre, Branch Manager of Air Liquide in Abu Dhabi, and Bernd Holling, Vice President of Business Development at Linde-KCA-Dresden, a Linde Engineering entity in Germany, to name just a few.
After the close of the first day, delegates will be treated to a Gala Dinner at the Beach Rotana hotel, the conference venue, which is sponsored by Elixier.
After a second day of exciting speeches on a range of topics, delegates will be able to discuss the strategies and methods needed to accelerate their businesses into the fast lane of our industry, at the newly built Yas Marina racing circuit in Abu Dhabi. Here, the ROC Group will host a cultural evening to bring to a close gasworld’s second conference of 2009.
