Miller Electric Mfg. Co. and Hobart, both subsidiaries of Illinois Tool Works (ITW), have earned upgrades in their quality certification.

The stringent ISO 9001:2015 recognition has been granted for both parties’ quality management systems (QMS).

The companies are now among the few organisations that have globally transitioned to the new standard, which identifies a company’s ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

Miller’s Quality Systems Manager Deb Arfstrom highlighted, “It takes hard work and dedication to embrace and achieve certification, and the results add value to the organisation and ensure customer satisfaction.”

Miller became the first manufacturer of welding and cutting equipment to be registered to the ISO-9001 standards in 1993.

The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) develops international standards and is an independent, international agency with membership composed of 165 national standards bodies.
