MOCON Inc., a permeability testing equipment manufacturer, has released a new oxygen (O2) permeation system to help aid corporation’s speed-to-market abilities along with reducing costs for ultra-high barrier applications.
The OX-TRAN® Model 2/22 10X system has been designed to help companies better manage testing costs and to deliver their products to market in a much shorter timeframe.
The US-based business suggests that its new permeation platform for ultra-high barrier materials can reduce test times by as much as 50%.
The new O2 transmission rate test instrument measures films or packages at precise temperature and relative humidity conditions, and is ideal for a variety of applications which require increasingly better O2 barrier solutions.

Its greater sensitivity for measuring O2 transmission characteristics of film and packages are ideally suited for a range of applications which require ultra-high O2 barriers, such as film and resin manufacturers, electronics like OLED and thin film, solar, vacuum panel, pharmaceutical and medical devices.
The OX-TRAN Model 2/22 10X can handle a range of flexible materials, including all plastic, foil and metalised structures.
