Mott MacDonald, the leading global engineering, management and development consultancy, has revealed the opening of a new oil & gas design centre in Kochi, in the south west of India.
The company has seen dramatic growth over recent years and now has more than 1,500 employees in India, with the new centre complementing existing facilities in Kolkata and Mumbai.
Mott MacDonald’s success in the region has influenced the decision to open a new office in Kochi, the commercial capital of Kerala, the southern state that will become a central hub for the firm’s oil, gas and petrochemical (OGP) storage and distribution business serving projects both in India and worldwide.
This new design centre in Kochi is thought to be key to the company’s oil and gas business strategy, and will compliment and support the firm’s OGP design centres in Kolkata and Mumbai.
