MSPL gases installs air separation plant for SAIL

MSPL gases has installed a 50 tons per day air separation plant on a build-own-operate basis for Steel Authority Of India Limited(SAIL)-Visvesvaraya Iron & Steel Plant in Karnataka, India.

MSPL Gases Limited is part of the Baldota Group, a leading producer of industrial gases in South India.

The plant was opened by Shri Roy Choudhury, executive director of SAIL-VISL. He said: “This is the first Indian tonnage plant of its kind which is more suitable in meeting flexible demands of medium size steel plants. With this part of the expansion ˜BOO OXYGEN PLANT, Baldota Group will increase the volume of its Gas Division from 10 million to 22 million cubic metres per annum.”

Chief managing director of MSPL Gases Limited, Mr Baldota said: “We as MSPL are extremely proud to be associated with Steel Authority of India. We are confident that this new air separation plant will meet all the requirements of SAIL exceeding their expectations. We have further initiated a dialogue with the captive customers in South India for the setting up of a similar kind of BOO Oxygen Plant.”
