The network of liquefied natural gas (LNG) filling stations in the Netherlands is continuing to grow with construction beginning on PitPoint’s Roosendaal location yesterday.
In July 2017, DCB Energy and PitPoint.LNG signed a contract for the realisation of three new LNG filling stations. Two of these became operational at the beginning of the year and the third location, now in construction, will open this spring.
Jan Willem Drijver, PitPoint.LNG’s Managing Director, said “The new LNG trucks can do around 1500km on a full tank. With the current network of LNG filling stations at strategic locations, we pretty much have country-wide coverage.”
“PitPoint.LNG is currently working on the development and exploitation of LNG locations in Belgium and Germany, which will make it possible to use our network in these countries too. This way, carriers and their clients are no longer prevented from investing in clean transport.”
gasworld has shaken up the format for its Europe conference in April with a theme and agenda devoted to the clean energy transition and two key pillars in particular – the fast-developing hydrogen economy and distributive LNG.
PitPoint is a speaker at the conference, to be held at the Beurs van Berlage Conference Centre in Amsterdam, from 23rd to 25th April.
