Refrigerant gas leak detection and monitoring instrument manufacturer Bacharach, Inc. has acquired Parasense, Inc.
Parasense is an industry leader in the development, manufacture and support of refrigeration detection and monitoring equipment for the food retails and military segments of the refrigeration and air conditioning markets.
The acquisition seeks to leverage the strengths of both businesses, with the combined resources strengthening the Bacharach’s ability to provide enhanced solutions to the worldwide heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC-R) market with fixed and portable gas detection instrumentation and performance monitoring offerings.
Doug Keeports, President of Bacharach, said that Parasense’s integrated energy management systems and remote data management to ensure energy efficiency, food safety, reduced waste and operating costs savings “aligns well with Bacharach’s strategic plan and focus on market leadership in instrumentation and expertise of refrigerant monitoring, as well as complimenting Bacharach’s strengths in the combustion and emissions analysis markets.”
Parasense operates two business sites. One in Quedgeley, UK, where it conducts manufacturing and design processes and one in Virginia, US, where it supports its market position with distribution, assembly, service, sales and training.
It is understood that Bacharach and Parasense will continue to operate business as usual under their respective structures, company names, contacts and customer and supplier interactions.
Bacharach has been operating for over 100 years, with headquarters located in Pennsylvania and distribution facilities located in Dublin, Ireland, and Toronto, Canada. The addition of Parasense’s leadership team brings an extra 30 years of industry experience to Bacharach.
