Onsite gas generation specialist HyGear has commenced the construction of its new company headquarters in the Netherlands, which will feature an additional hydrogen (H2) filling facility.
The added H2-filling facility, together with its own fleet of H2 trailers, forms a significant part of HyGear’s strategy in being a cost-effective industrial gas supplier, according to the company.
It will function as a filling station for the back-up supply of H2 gas for customers and partners in the region, as well as serving customers that are further afield with similar needs of H2 cylinders and storage refilling.
“Over the years, we have successfully grown and became a serious player in the industry that exceeds the capacity of our current facilities”
The site, located in Arnhem, will also be comprised of offices, test sites, construction and assembly areas.
CEO Marinus van Driel enthused, “We started the company almost 15 years ago in this building in Arnhem. Over the years, we have successfully grown and became a serious player in the industry that exceeds the capacity of our current facilities. We are really looking forward to move into the new premises.”
HyGear will move into the new premises in the first quarter of 2017 with the H2-filling facility expected to be operational by the end of this year.
